Zeal Appoints Andrew Horton ex-CTO at Yoyo Wallet as Chief Product Officer
We're excited to share some big news from Zeal's headquarters in the UK. Our team just got stronger with the appointment of Andrew Horton, member of the founding team and CTO at Yoyo Wallet, to our C-Suite. Andrew's experience in developing scalable and innovative payment and loyalty solutions is critical for Zeal as it scales across POS terminals globally.
Yoyo Wallet (acquired by SaltPay) - now Teya, is the UK's leading QR code loyalty program for retailers. The company had developed white-labeled apps for the likes of Caffe Nero, Harris + Hoole, and Planet Organic. They also had the aggregator Yoyo App, that enabled customers to link their payment cards to pay and collect loyalty stamps from a scan of a QR code.
Andrew led Yoyo Wallet's engineering team, building one of the strongest infrastructures to integrate with different EPOS softwares and developing the first of its kind ePOS API that allows payments and discounts simultaneously.
Now, Andrew's taking on a pivotal role here at Zeal. He'll be leading our Product team, diving into building our product for scale, working closely with POS manufacturers, Independent Software Vendors, Payment Acquirers, and Merchants. But it's more than just the engineering of payment transactions for Andrew; he's all about forging strategic partnerships and fostering collaboration. His approach aligns perfectly with our mission to scale Zeal's presence in the retail tech ecosystem.
Our CEO, Omar Ebeid, couldn't be more thrilled. He believes Andrew's vision and expertise are precisely what Zeal needs as we expand in the UK market especially our shared commitment to innovative solutions in retail tech. Bringing Andrew on board is a strategic move that aligns with our goals and values.
This step is more than just a new hire; it's a testament to our commitment to staying ahead in the world of payments technology. We're dedicated to providing solutions that drive engagement, loyalty, and success, not just for retailers but for everyone involved in the retail sector – from POS manufacturers to the paying consumer.
